new scene war ein projekt, das in den späten 80er jahren von arno müller und markus barth gegründet wurde. sie waren teil des roster des deutschen labels boy records zusammen mit acts wie time modem, cybex factor und -o-. new scene veröffentlichte 1989/90 zwei singles/mega-mixe unter dem titel out of control, die beide zu klassikern in der deutschen techno-szene wurden. die dritte single tonight wurde ebenfalls zu einem großen erfolg in den clubs und veranlasste new scene, 1992 ihr erstes und einziges album waves zu veröffentlichen.
